March 3-5 – The Sound of Music

You remember the songs, the themes and the characters – the Sound of Music and its story by Maria Von Trapp has arrived at the Arizona Opera! All sets, props and costumes for this production are co-produced by the Houston Grand Opera and the Glimmerglass Festival. Secure your tickets here!

4th-5th March – M3F Music Festival

Margaret T Hance Park – 1200 N 1st Street | March 4th: 13:30-23:00; March 5: 1:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m

M3F Fest is back in the Valley and ready to bring some live music to Arizonans all weekend long. Artists include Quinn XCII, Purple Disco Machine, COIN and headliners Maggie Rodgers on Friday and Jamie XX on Saturday. All proceeds from the festival go to Arizona nonprofit organizations. 5th-6th Annual Mask Alive Festival of Masks!

Pioneer Park – 526 E. Main St. | 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m

The Mesa Cultural Coalition is hosting the 6th consecutive year celebrating the global tradition of mask-wearing. There will be representatives from all corners of the world, from Mexico to Japan, West Africa, Egypt and more. The event is free and there will be something for all ages.

March 3-5 – Sun Devil Classic

Farrington Stadium – 510 S Athletes Pl. | Game times vary

Want to enjoy a cold beer and hot dog this weekend while cheering on the Sun Devil softball team? Six teams compete against each other in the Sun Devil Classic. The Sun Devils are up against the New Mexico Lobos, Charlotte 49ers, Boise State Broncos, Michigan State Spartans and Houston Cougars. March 4 – The 2nd Chandler Car Cavalcade

Glendale Civic Center – 5750 West Glenn Drive | 10am – 4pm

Bring your classic or muscle car, street machine or hot rod to this awesome 2nd annual event! This cavalcade is part of the City of Chandler’s Open House event celebrating public safety. This is a family-friendly event and if you just want to come for the action, tickets are free! Donations are welcome. Would you like to register your vehicle? March 3-4 – Beer, Bourbon, BBQ

dr AJ Chandler Park – 3 S Arizona Ave | 3 March: 16:00-23:00; 5 March: 12:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m

Ready for two days of beer, BBQ, bourbon and music just in time for outdoor grilling season? The Beer, Bourbon, BBQ Festival comes to downtown Chandler for family-friendly fun! There will be live music and plenty of cocktail and beer tastings. Don’t worry for the under 21s – there will be games perfect for all ages! 3rd-5th March – Phoenix Scottish Games

Gilbert Regional Park – 3005 E. Queen Creek Road | 10am – 4pm
