NBA same game parlay picks
Los Angeles Clippers vs. Golden State Warriors
Since this game is played in the Golden State, there will be many possessions in this game and therefore paradise. Sometimes books adapt too much to changes in game pacing, but I don’t see that here with these lines from FanDuel.
Kawhi is quite capable of hitting seven boards, and he did it in the last game against Golden State. If the odds are positive, I’m over it. Going along with an uncorrelated play and taking Zubac’s over-rebound total just adds extra value to that SGP. Since the big man is averaging over 10 boards per game this season, I’m not overly concerned that he’s averaging nine.
Kawhi’s assists just sweetened the pot for me. The Clippers will have plenty of chances to score and Leonard has plenty of opportunities to moderate which gives me confidence to throw a unit on that combo.

NBA game selection
Indiana Pacers versus San Antonio Spurs
There are some fears that this is a trap, but we can’t be afraid of monsters under the bed. The Spurs are the worst team in basketball on almost every metric (adjusted net rating, net rating, pts/poss, etc.) and had lost sixteen straight games prior to their win over the Jazz.
Conversely, the Pacers have been playing well lately. Indiana has played in every game since the All-Star break, with their only loss being admirable – a 142-138 OT loss to the Celtics. The projected five starters for the Pacers (Haliburton, Nembhard, Hield, Nesmith, Turner) are more than respectable, boasting a positive net rating for the year and trumping any lineup the Spurs can offer them.
San Antonio defeated Indiana earlier this year, but that was a long some time ago, and Spurs have since firmly established themselves in Victor Wembanyama sweepstakes. Assist the Pacers to cover the spread Thursday night as they continue to push for the last play-in spot in the Eastern Conference.
Bet: Pacer -4 (-110)

First basket scorer
Toronto Raptors vs. Washington Wizards
The Toronto Raptors have picked up just 44% of their games this season. They’ve also attempted the first shot in just 51% of games this year. On the other hand, the Wizards earned the tip 67% of the time while taking the first shot 64% of the time.
The Wizards will likely win the tip and take the first shot. Washington has earned the first basket in 59% of games this season.
The preferred player for the Wizards is usually Kristaps Porzingis. Of the 26 first baskets scored, Porzingis has 10 first baskets, along with 12 first shots. Back Porzingis scores the first goal tonight.
Bet: Kristaps Porzingis (+450)

NBA Prop Bets
San Antonio Spurs versus Indiana Pacers
These are two of the smaller teams in the NBA. The Pacers are 28-35 while the Spurs are 15-47. The good news for bettors is that wins and losses don’t matter in player bets.
The player with the highest stakes tonight is Myles Turner. In the last three games he has averaged 29.3 points per game. Tonight he’s playing the worst defense in the NBA. This defense also lacks an apron. That means Turner will have plenty of scoring chances tonight.
Myles Turner over 22.5 points (-111)

Selection for college basketball games
Arizona vs. USC
Arizona is a conundrum as it ranks as the Pac-12 leader in adjusted offensive efficiency and plays at the fastest pace in the league despite having two of its best offensive players at 6ft 11 and 7ft. If the Wildcats lose, teams will force them to work in court as they have been held to fewer than 80 points in four of their five losses. USC was close in the first meeting, only allowing 81 points even though the Wildcats had one of their best 3-point shooter games (12 of 24). The Trojans’ elite rim guard (they’re second in the nation in the allowable 2-point percentage) kept Arizona 47% on shooting inside the arc, which is no easy feat given it’s in the top ten in that regard of all D-1 teams ranked.
Conversely, USC has been held to 68.7 points in its last three games against Pac-12 teams that haven’t made the last three. Arizona’s mammoth frontline should again pose problems for a Trojan offense that gets 26.2% of its offense from the 3-point line (308th in the country).
The Over has made money in both games that USC has played as a home underdog, but we expect it will take this game to a snail’s pace.
Bet: Arizona-USC Under 155 (-110 at DraftKings)

NHL game selection
Ottawa Senators (+143) @ New York Rangers (-175) | O/U 6.5 (-113/-108)
Kicking off Thursday’s list, future Hall of Famer Patrick Kane makes his New York Rangers debut as they host the Ottawa Senators. Kane, a dynamic playmaker, returns to winger Artemi Panarin to reunite one of the league’s most dominant pairings when they both played in Chicago.
Their chemistry was instant when they wore the red sweater, and Panarin has improved tremendously over the years. It’s uncertain if Panarin and Kane will (most likely) reunite on the same line, but they will definitely work together on the first powerplay session.
That pairing was to prove problematic again for Ottawa, a team ranked 28th in the league in penalty minutes. Additionally, in the bottom half of the league, Senators rank 5-on-5 in terms of expected goals conceded per 60 minutes (xGA/60).
That defense will be bolstered by goaltender Cam Talbot, who is due to get the nod between the whistle for Ottawa. Talbot is an amazing goaltender, ranking only 29th among starting goaltenders for exceeding expectations in goals per 60 minutes (GSAx/60) in 5v5.
Specifically, we’ll be backing Panarin to find the back of the net after he’s reunited with Kane against an underperforming Senators defense and goalie. Even if those two aren’t paired, Panarin is still a major scoring threat, scoring seven goals in his last nine games and four in his last eight against the Sens.
Best bet: Artemi Panarin 1+ goals (+205 via BetRivers)

NHL Same Game Parlay
Buffalo Sabers vs. Boston Bruins
- Leg 1: OVER 4.5 Bruins goals in total (+140)
- Stage 2: OVER 6.5 goals in total (-115)
- Leg 3: David Pastrnak Anytime Goal (-115)
The Sabers are just three points behind the Penguins for the last wild card spot and every game is crucial.
The second-best offense in the league has the next-up mentality. Rookie Jack Quinn moved to the front row, replacing the injured Alex Tuch, and featured in the final game with a goal and an assist, giving him four points in his previous two games.
The Bruins continue to dominate, winning eight straight games and are on track for most regular-season wins and points. This is one of the best defenses in the league and goalkeeper Linus Ullmark continues to build on his Vezina Trophy winner.
On offense, the highlight is David Pastrnak, who is currently second in goals and fourth in points as he plays for his next contract.
The Sabers have the offense to compete with the Bruins but not the defense. They must overwhelm Boston to end their winning streak.

Prop betting on NHL players
Nikita Kucherov OVER 1.5 points vs. Pittsburgh Penguins (+110)
The Eastern Conference has many great teams, but it’s hard not to love Tampa Bay, which has made three straight Stanley Cup Finals. The Lightning offense is deep, leading by 37 goals from Brayden Point, Nikita Kucherov is second in the league with 63 assists, and the team has four players with 20 or more goals.
They will face off against the Penguins who had their number one by defeating them twice with an aggregate score of 113-5. Kucherov was involved in both games, taking two points from each. As great as Pittsburgh’s offense is, they have underperforming defense, and I want Kucherov to have another multi-scoring night.

NHL Goal In First Ten (GIFT) Picks
Nashville Predators vs. Florida Panthers
In the final matchup, the Panthers suffered an angry 7-3 loss in Nashville. Luckily for Florida, this Nashville team will look very different from the previous game.
The Predators were busy during the trade deadline sending Nino Niederreiter to the Jets and their last season breakout star Tanner Jeannot to the Lightning for a hefty return of picks.
Their offense has been horrendous all season, with defender Roman Josi leading the team in points and nobody scoring 20 goals.
Florida’s offense isn’t as dynamic as it was last season, but it hasn’t taken a significant dip. The team couldn’t have asked for a better first year from Matthew Tkachuk as he leads the team with 79 points. The mainstays of last season’s President Trophy winner have another great year with Carter Verhaeghes 31 goals, Sam Reinhardt with 21 and Aleksander Barkov and Brandon Montour with more than 30 assists.
Nashville is top ten in GIFT cash-ins, but Florida is in the middle. I like the Panthers in general but it will take longer for them to score.
Tip: BELOW 0.5 (-175)
