Good day! The NBA is back in action, the baseball season is fast approaching, and the NFL world is eagerly awaiting updates on Franchise Tag eligible players.

Essential NBA betting trends

The regular season resumed Thursday night after almost a week off for the All-Star break.

Between 21 and 24 games remain for each team before the play-ins and playoffs begin in April.

So what do you need to know to bet on the NBA in the home stretch?

I’ve checked some information against the spread and over/under trends for a handful of teams that might prove useful for the last quarter of the season.

The Thunder are currently out of the Western Conference playoffs, but they were the best team to bet against the spread with a 35-21-2 record.

And no team sees an over more often than the Warriors, but there’s a stark contrast between the over and under trends when they’re at home or away. The over is 21-7-1 when Golden State is gone and 13-15-1 at home.

Learn about the best and worst teams against number and the teams whose games go over and under most often.

I also took a snapshot of the NBA divisional win odds for the five divisions where odds are currently available to see where the value lies.

Fantasy Football Free Agency Wishlist

Michael Fabiano just released his free agency fantasy cheat sheet just days ago to help managers prepare for the potential upheaval this offseason.

Now that you know what players might be making transfers, he’s compiled his wish list for when he becomes a free agent.

Where does Derek Carr end up? Could DeAndre Hopkins be on the way?

Fabiano made some interesting matches that could have big fantasy implications if they come true.

One entry on Fabiano’s wish list includes a new home for Aaron Rodgers, who has spent his entire career in Green Bay. The moody star quarterback has reportedly abandoned the retreat into obscurity he had submitted to. Now the league awaits his and the Packers’ next move.

Gilberto Manzano has suggested five potential landing destinations for the three-time MVP, some of which land him in the Big Apple.

Dodgers own the best pennant odds in NL

The Dodgers have the best chance of winning the National League, but they will face stiff competition with three teams close behind them in the betting market.

Los Angeles (+350) is the favourite. Then the Mets and Braves (+400) have the second-best odds, and the Padres (+450) aren’t far behind. The reigning NL champions Phillies (+650) complete the top 5.

Read Jen Piacenti’s breakdown of the National League field and look out for her analysis of the American League coming out next week.

In other news

The Titans release Taylor Lewan, Robert Woods: In a move that will open up cap space, Tennessee gave up its Pro Bowl tackle and previous first-round pick. The Titans also parted ways with Woods, a veteran receiver the team traded for last offseason.

Rams LB Bobby Wagner now a free agent: Los Angeles and Wagner mutually agreed to part ways in a transaction that will clear the Cap spot and allow Wagner, a second-team All-Pro selection, to sign with a competitor.

Broncos Hire Vance Joseph as DC: Joseph is returning to Denver, where he held the top job from 2017-2018. The Cardinals released Joseph, their 2019-22 DC, from his contract a week ago and now he will join Sean Payton’s staff.
