Marvel’s Spider-Man is one of the most popular games on PlayStation and before the release of Spider Man 2, A new trailer for the upcoming release has apparently surfaced online.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is the sequel to the 2018 original Spiderman Game for launch title for PS4 and PS5 Spider-Man: Miles Moralesreleased late 2020.
Both games proved hugely successful, with the original Spider-Man title selling more than 33 million copies as of May 2022.
Miles Morales had a similar impact, helping the PlayStation 5 get off to a flying start despite bottlenecks affecting production of next-gen consoles.
Now, however, a new trailer has emerged, adding to the hype surrounding the next entry in this fan-favorite PlayStation franchise and further hinting at a launch later this year.
Spider-Man 2 PS5 trailer spotted
A new trailer has surfaced online ahead of the highly anticipated PS5 title Spiderman 2. It appears to be official, having aired on ESPN sometime Sunday, but it hasn’t made its way to any legitimate Sony or PlayStation channels.

The footage was broadcast in Australia and shows a “Spring 2023” start. With the southern hemisphere (where Australia is located) welcoming spring from around September to November, this seems to confirm that the game will be released in the second half of 2023.
The preview features a live-action fictional broadcast with a brief look at the Spider-Men created by Peter Parker and Miles Morales.
A Tale of Two Spiders
While the original Spiderman had the ability to play as Miles Morales before he got his wall crawling powers. It wasn’t until 2020 that gamers could finally swing through New York as an iconic Brooklyn hero.
When PlayStation 5 launched in late 2020, Spider-Man: Miles Morales was a shorter entry into the franchise and a sequel to the original game. Peter Parker took a back seat as Miles got his money’s worth as New York’s new Spider-Man.
Spiderman 2 will apparently allow players to swing around New York as Peter and his protégé using one of their unique talents.
As players know, Miles’ Bio-Electricity makes him a powerful force as he can accumulate and release a lot of energy at will, and will certainly complement Peter’s years of experience on the battlefield.
It will also be fantastic to have the pair outside the bounds of the first two games.
With this new trailer, Sony is no doubt preparing for a marketing boost. If the game is similar to its predecessors then fans will be in for a treat and it will be featured at the Game Awards 2023.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is rumored to be out in late 2023.
