Malik Monk scored 45 points off the bench and De’Aaron Fox added 42 points and 12 assists as the visiting Sacramento Kings clinched a 176-175 win in double overtime against the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday.
Both teams set franchise records for points in a game while also producing the second-highest scoring game in NBA history. The Detroit Pistons beat the Denver Nuggets in triple overtime on December 13, 1983, 186-184.
Sacramento’s Domantas Sabonis had 20 points and 10 rebounds despite committing his fifth foul in the third quarter and fouling 3:09 in the first overtime.
Kawhi Leonard scored 44 points and Paul George added 34 points and 10 rebounds for the Clippers. Russell Westbrook had 17 points and 14 assists on his debut with the team.

Jrue Holiday scored 24 points and Bobby Portis added 18 in his first game since Jan. 23 as Milwaukee won their 13th straight game, beating the Miami visit.
Giannis Antetokounmpo was eliminated 1:13 in the first quarter due to a right knee injury. He finished the game with four points, four rebounds and four assists in just six minutes. Brook Lopez scored 17 points and snapped seven boards, Grayson Allen lost 16 and Jae Crowder scored nine points in his Bucks debut and first game of the season. Meyers Leonard also made his Bucks debut, adding five points and six rebounds.
Miami lost its third straight game despite receiving 23 points from Jimmy Butler. Bam Adebayo added 18 and Caleb Martin had 17, while new signing Kevin Love had eight rebounds and provided four assists but failed to score. Tyler Herro returned from injury and scored 14 points on a return to his hometown.
Warrior 116, Missile 101
Klay Thompson bombed 12 3-pointers during a 42-point performance as Golden State, despite giving up three starters, overpowered Houston in San Francisco.
Thompson shot 12-to-17 from beyond the arc and made up all but six of his points as he posted his second-highest point total of the season. Donte DiVincenzo and Jordan Poole assisted Thompson with 15 points each for the Warriors while Patrick Baldwin Jr. added 11.
Kenyon Martin Jr. led the Rockets with 22 points despite missing all three of his 3-point attempts. Houston shot just 11-to-35 (31.4 percent) from beyond the arc. TyTy Washington Jr. scored 15 points in his first NBA start for the Rockets.
Knicks 115, Wizards 109
After battling all night, Jalen Brunson made the crucial goal with 42.1 seconds left and his visit to New York erased a 19-point deficit en route to a win over Washington.
Julius Randle had a career-high 46 points on 16 of 29 shots from the floor as the Knicks won their fourth straight game. Brunson was held at 13 points and shot 6 of 20 after averaging 32.5 points in his last eight games before the All-Star break.
Kyle Kuzma and Kristaps Porzingis each had 23 points, with Porzingis scoring 19 of his total in Washington’s 38-point opening quarter. Bradley Beal added 16 and Delon Wright earned 15 from the bench for the Wizards.
Falcons 136, Cavaliers 119
Trae Young and Dejounte Murray combined for 59 points and Atlanta blitzed the Cleveland visit to win acting coach Joe Prunty’s debut. Prunty took over when Atlanta fired coach Nate McMillan during the All-Star break.
Young scored 34 points, went 14-to-15 from the foul line and added nine assists. Murray had 25 points, nine rebounds and eight assists. Saddiq Bey scored 19 for his most points since joining the team at close.
The Hawks had 100-plus points in their 35th straight game, the longest streak of its kind in the NBA. They surpassed the 100 mark in the middle of the third quarter. Cleveland entered the game allowing the fewest points in the league (106.3 per game). Darius Garland led the Cavaliers with 33 points.
Hornets 121, Timberwolves 113
LaMelo Ball recorded a game-high 32 points and 10 rebounds, Gordon Hayward added 27 points and a game-high 13 boards, and Charlotte defeated Minnesota in Minneapolis.
The Hornets are on their first three-game win streak of the season.
Anthony Edwards led Minnesota with 29 points but shot just 11 of 26 from the floor. Rudy Gobert added 17 points and 10 rebounds in 7-for-9 shooting while Naz Reid came off the bench for 16 points and eight boards.
Bulls 131, Nets 87
Zach LaVine had 32 points and DeMar DeRozan and Patrick Williams added 17 each as host Chicago beat Brooklyn to go on a six-game losing streak.
Andre Drummond (13 points, 10 rebounds) and Nikola Vucevic (13 points, 10 rebounds) both hit double-doubles for Chicago. The Bulls overtook the Nets 57-31.
Cam Thomas scored 22 points to lead four nets in double digits. Seth Curry (19), Mikal Bridges (13) and Cam Johnson (10) followed as Brooklyn lost for the third time in four games.
Suns 124, Thunder 115
Devin Booker recorded 25 points, eight assists and six rebounds to help Phoenix to a win over the Oklahoma City visit.
Chris Paul scored 16 points and Josh Okogie added 15 as Phoenix won for the 12th time in 16 games. Deandre Ayton had 14 points and 11 rebounds for his 30th double-double of the season, while Cameron Payne also had 14 points.
Isaiah Joe scored 28 points on 11-of-17 shooting, including a 6-of-12 hit from 3-point range, for Oklahoma City, which lost for the second straight game. Rookie Jalen Williams added 22 points for the Thunder.
