The PGA Tour’s flagship Players Championship 2023 begins this week at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. Here’s everything you need to know to watch the Players Championship, including a full TV schedule, streaming schedule, and full start times for the first and second rounds.
player preview
The epic battle for the world No. 1 ranking continues this week in historic TPC Sawgrass. Jon Rahm currently holds the title, having reclaimed it with a win at the Genesis Invitational and passed Scottie Scheffler, who secured top spot after his triumph at the WM Phoenix Open.
Meanwhile, Rory McIlroy, who started the year at No. 1, almost got it back at last week’s Arnold Palmer Invitational, where he finished T2. All three stars will be grouped together for the first two rounds this week.
The Players is the fourth designated event in five weeks, but this one has an even bigger prize pool of $25 million, with $4.5 million going to the winner.
Golf Channel and NBC will provide TV coverage of the Players Championship and PGA Tour Live on ESPN+, and Peacock will stream the action online, with ESPN+ providing exclusive early coverage of all four rounds.
