On Monday, Georgia accepted signings from DT Justus Terry of Manchester, Georgia and OL Micah DeBose of Mobile, Alabama. According to 247Composite Recruiting Rankings, both Terry and DeBose are among the top 50 prospects nationally in the 2025 recruiting class.
Terry and DeBose will join 5-star LB Jadon Perlotte and RB Jabree Wallace-Coleman in the 2025 class. While it’s early days, the Dawgs have a stronghold in class #1 in 2025. Many fans will blink their eyes at more recent commitments as we’re still a year away from that class hitting the main stage. However, the expectation for another great class in 2025 has been set.
Oftentimes, recruits who commit themselves so early in their high school careers will eventually end up out of class and sign elsewhere. Not in Georgia. At least that’s not the expectation. Kirby Smart turned Georgia into a recruiting machine. So much so that he can choose which prospects he wants on board. If he takes 2025 commits, you best believe they’re the best of the bunch. They also believe best not to go anywhere else, at least not that easily.
Perlotte, Terry, DeBose and Wallace-Coleman are anomalies for prospects their age. They are tall, strong, athletic and have their best football yet to come. Perlotte is the vocal and popular 5-star actor UGA fans are used to seeing. He will play a critical role in UGA’s recruiting efforts, even outside of the Class of 2025. Terry and DeBose are the leading big men at the top to build around. Finally, Wallace-Coleman is the big Bell Cole back that UGA always has at its disposal.
Kirby Smart doesn’t take these guys just because he can. He’s picky and picks them because they fit the mold and culture that has been laid out since Kirby Smart was hired.

Those 4 commitments give Georgia fans something to look forward to on the field, but the foundation they laid for the rest of the class is perhaps even more important.
UGAs 2025 efforts are just beginning. You are in the running for many top prospects in the class. Houston County (Ga.) QB Antwann Hill has been leaning towards UGA, one of the top QB recruits in the 2025 class, for some time. Alpharetta (Ga.) TE Ethan Barbour is also firmly on UGA’s radar, could he be the elite TE be that UGA adds to class 2025? Zayden Walker, Elijah Griffin, and several other elite state talents rank extremely high on the UGA board, and the feeling is certainly mutual.
Georgia’s efforts also extend beyond the state of Georgia. Caleb Cunningham, a 5-star WR from Mississippi, told Dawgs Daily in October that UGA was “one of his favorite teams” and had some visits to Athens planned in the future.
Yes, Class 2025 is still a long way from making headlines, but UGA’s efforts to lay a strong foundation cannot be ignored. With 4 elite commitments, UGA can be as selective and thorough as you choose in finding 2025 prospects.
As long as UGA continues to dominate the CFB landscape, recruitment company Kirby Smart will continue to grow and reach levels unprecedented in Georgian history.
