The National Women’s Soccer League, the National Women’s Soccer League Players Association (NWSLPA) and Electronic Arts Inc. today announced partnerships as part of EA SPORTS’ ongoing commitment to improving and authentically representing women’s soccer.
“The integration of the NWSL into EA SPORTS FIFA 23 is a monumental milestone for the league, the players, and millions of soccer fans around the world as we continue to push the boundaries of women’s soccer,” he said Jessica Berman, Commissioner, NWSL. “The athletes who call the NWSL their home are some of the best in the world and we are excited for the opportunity to further showcase their talent through this unique gaming experience. We can’t wait for the fans to start playing, and we look forward to continuing this celebration of the players and the league as we begin our 11th season on March 25.”
Beginning March 15, all 12 NWSL teams will be represented in Kick-Off, Tournament Mode, Head-to-Head/Co-op Season, and Online Friendlies across all platforms. Also included in EA SPORTS FIFA 23 are four NWSL stadiums, along with authentic jerseys, starheads, trophies, and celebrations.

Additionally, EA SPORTS and the NWSLPA will focus on nurturing players on and off the pitch.

The 2023 NWSL season is scheduled to begin on Saturday, March 25, with the opening weekend for the league’s 11th season, which will feature all 12 teams. Both the regular season and the 2023 UKG NWSL Challenge Cup will appear on CBS Sports’ platforms including The CBS Television Network, CBS Sports Network and Paramount+.
