Every day one of our experts offers a best bet (or two or three) that mobile sportsbooks offer. It can be a traditional spread bet, a player prop, or one of the various odds boosts that books offer.

Here are our best bets for Thursday March 2nd:

top game

The Game: NBA, Warriors +3.5 over Clippers

The odds: -108

The book: FanDuel Sportsbook

Time/TV: 10pm (TNT)

Our Opinion: On Wednesday we told you that when a line stinks, we usually go with the side that stinks to high heaven. But how can we decide against the Dubs, who have won their first three games in their home stand, including two – against Portland and Houston – by 15 or more?

Meanwhile, the Clippers have lost three games in a row, falling behind Golden State and sixth in the NBA’s Western Conference rankings.

The teams have split the two games they’ve played this season — Los Angeles won at home by 10 last month and Golden State won at home by 17 in November. The Warriors have also won four of the last six meetings that going back to last season, and four straight in San Francisco.

Even if Steph Curry misses a few games, the defending champions are ready to step up their game this time of year.

SEC Women’s Tournament

The Game: SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament, Georgia -10.5 over Auburn

The odds: -120

The book: FanDuel Sportsbook

Time/TV: 6 p.m. (SEC Network)

Our take: The Bulldogs have been playing very well lately, losing by just 10 points to South Carolina in their season finale. Now they’re getting Auburn, who they beat at 11 a week ago.

They’ve won seven out of nine – losing only to the Gamecocks and LSU – and should see it through the rest of this tournament tough.

How we have fared

The best bets on Wednesday

NBA Moneyline: Pelicans via Trailblazer (WON)

PGA, Arnold Palmer Invitational: Will Zalatoris Finish in Top 10 (PENDING)

Record from Wednesday: 1-0, 1 is still pending

Total for the week: 1-4, 1 pending

Total for March: 1-0, 1 to go

Overall for 2023: 33-40, 1 pending

NOTE: If a line or odds are negative, account is taken of the juice needed to place the bet. Example: Team A has -160 on the moneyline, you would have to bet $160 to win $100 (or $16 to win $10). OR Team B is a 5-point favorite at -110, would have to bet $110 to win $100 (or $11 to win $10).

Conversely, on positive lines, if Team C is +140 on the money line, $100 would net $140 (or $10 to win $14).
